This outstanding Cockpit® jacket is a flawless reproduction of a Korean War-era, 1950's US Navy G-1 jacket. Each one is hand-distressed using proprietary techniques to give it a battle-worn aged look beyond compare. The distressing is light and includes wear along the waistband, cuffs, seams and edges. Care was taken to make sure the aging was done to make the final product look only as an aged original would look. Goatsking is supple, luxurious and takes on the broken-in feel of a vintage jacket, like no other leather.
The period-correct, 50's-era mouton fur collar is the same medium brown color as the collars on the early G-1s. Other authentic features include:
- '50s-era bidirectional single-ply waistband
- extra-long double-ply cuffs
- a narrow wind flap with "USN" perforation
- underarm gussets and bi-swing back for freedom of movement
- heavy-duty zipper
- two front cargo pockets featuring period-correct ('50s) pocket flaps
- an inside map pocket and nylon lining
This jacket does NOT have side-entry handwarmer pockets and the fit is military (fit's exact, not loose). These are both in keeping with the original military specifications.
