started this business as a result of my lifelong love affair with
airplanes and flying. I got hooked on airplanes when I was 5 years
old growing up in California. I loved reading about that incredible
period from the early 1950's through the late 1960's, when the sky
above Edward's Air Force Base in California was filled with the coolest
jets the world would ever know. Those classic aircraft paved the foundation
for the Stealth fighters and F-22 Raptors of today. As a kid I fell
in love with those early jets and with that golden time period.
Through a great deal of research and negotiations we acquired the images featured on this site. These images comprise the absolute best of the space program in the 1960's, the famous X-plane program, Famed pilots like Chuck Yeager and rocketeer Wernher Von Braun. We even carry images of the very first powered airplane; the Wright Flyer that Orville and Wilbur piloted in 1903. Today we also carry modern photos from Iraq and from world famous aerobatic teams, The Thunderbirds and The Blue Angels. In short, we have close to 3000 images to choose from. Once you find an image you like, you can oder it as a custom photographic print (not a cheap inkjet reproduction) in a variety of sizes. You can also order it on mugs, mousepads, playing cards and a whole lot more. If you have something special in mind, just ask. Today we have grown enough to have a sister website, classicjet.com. We're a small business with a few quality people that care about you- our customer- above anything else. We carry some very unique items and many are exclusive to us.
